Layer Jacketed Kettle

Layer Jacketed Kettle

200L tilting jacketed kettle with heating and mixing functions, designed for food processing, pharmaceutical production, and chemical material heating, stirring, cooking, and concentration applications.

The 200L tilting jacketed kettle is a multifunctional stainless steel processing machine widely used for cooking, heating, mixing, concentration, and frying applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. The equipment combines jacket heating, mechanical stirring, and tilting discharge functions into one integrated system for efficient and uniform material processing.

The kettle adopts a double-layer structure with an inner SUS304/316L stainless steel tank and an external jacket layer for indirect heating. Heating methods include steam heating, electric heating with thermal oil, gas heating, or electromagnetic heating. The indirect heating structure provides even heat distribution, prevents localized overheating, and reduces material burning or sticking.

The mixing system supports anchor-type stirring, bottom scraping mixing, and optional planetary stirring for high-viscosity materials. Variable frequency speed control allows adjustable stirring speeds from 10–80rpm to suit different material viscosities and production requirements. The stirring system improves mixing uniformity, shortens processing time, and reduces manual labor.

The kettle is equipped with a tilting discharge system using manual or electric tilting mechanisms. The maximum tilting angle can reach 90°–135°, allowing quick discharge of viscous materials with minimal residue while simplifying cleaning operations.

Safety and control systems include temperature gauges, pressure gauges, safety valves, automatic temperature control, over-temperature protection, and alarm systems for abnormal pressure or temperature conditions.

The equipment is widely used for chili sauce, bean paste, hot pot base, syrup, jam, fillings, dairy products, soups, ointments, creams, emulsions, and chemical material mixing applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is planetary mixing and how is it different from ordinary mixing?
Planetary mixing means the mixing blade rotates around the kettle while also rotating on its own axis, similar to planetary motion around the sun.

Compared with ordinary mixing, planetary mixing provides more complete material movement and better mixing efficiency, especially for high-viscosity materials.

What are the main structural components of a planetary jacketed kettle?
The equipment mainly includes:

Stainless steel kettle body

Mixing system

Motor and gearbox transmission system

Heating system

Optional hydraulic lifting system

Optional vacuum system

PLC control system with touch screen

How can the wall scraper maintain proper contact with the kettle surface?
The wall scraper is usually made of PTFE material and requires proper clearance adjustment.

The recommended clearance between the scraper and kettle wall is 0.5–1.5mm.

Excessive clearance may cause material sticking, while overly small clearance may increase wear or cause mechanical jamming.

What are the advantages of a vacuum planetary mixing kettle?
Vacuum systems provide several important functions:

Bubble removal for smoother finished products

Oxidation prevention using vacuum and nitrogen filling

Low-temperature concentration for heat-sensitive materials

Faster powder wetting and improved mixing efficiency
